Heat Sealing Packaging Supplies and Equipment, a world class food packaging solutions company, has joined Ravenwood’s global distributor network for driving linerless in Canada, with the investment of a Ravenwood Nobac 5000 demo sleever.
HSP has been observing Ravenwood’s growth and success from afar and has been considering adding linerless to its product portfolio for some time. With the steady growth and development of skin pack in Canada, and expanding market demand for sustainable packaging solutions, HSP see this as an opportune time for the innovation of linerless in this region. This coupled with the recent appointment of Ravenwood’s approved printer, Imprimerie Ste-Julie based in the province of Quebec, forges a strong foundation for driving this technology forward.
Dan Margorian, Vice President of HSP said: “We are seeing many new and exciting opportunities for the linerless label market in Canada. Our new partnership with Ravenwood, along with the emergence of a Canadian based printer, IMPSJ, means that we are now ready to meet the needs of Canadian customers, on a local level.”
He added: “All this, coupled with a strong marketplace focus on sustainable packaging solutions makes us confident that this will lead to substantial linerless growth in Canada.”
Heat Sealing has purchased a Nobac 5000 linerless applicator as part of its demonstration and experience centre located in Concord, Ontario. The Nobac range is designed for maximum flexibility, for applying Ravenwood linerless labels to many food types and pack specifications. In addition to sleeving fixed-weight products, these machines can link to weigh-scales from a range of manufacturers for variable-weight products, as well as check weighing.
Paul Beamish, Managing Director of Ravenwood said: “We are delighted to now be partnering with HSP. Linerless is making considerable headway in Canada, across all markets, as more brands are moving towards carbon neutral goals.”
